Throughout November staff at B Matthews Funeral Directors managed to amass a staggering 289 Advent Calendars, donated by kind-hearted members of the community. An appeal on social media and posters in branch windows led to the overwhelming response.
All the calendars were delivered to Southampton General Hospital for their patients on 28th November by Funeral Arrangers Lisa and Tracey.
Tracey said, “The hospital were so pleased and informed us that they would be used on the Elderly Care and Cancer Care Wards within the hospital. We would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated.”
